First, I'm happy to find Burning man folks here. I grew up in North Carolina but have lived in Portland Oregon for the past five years. I met a great man and we are getting married. The problem is, while I have a great job teaching, he can't find work. He would like me to consider moving to New Orleans where he says we can be part of restructuring education there. I have never been to New Orleans, have a community here and just plain LOVE portland. I have been looking at New Orleans and the diversity is attractive. What other great things are there to encourage me to give up my dream job and the bike lanes here?
